  • Quicktime X Playback Controls Preferences?

Quicktime X looks lovely, now that I have finally upgraded to Snow. One sort of gripe, though. The playback controls, which now float over the image, stay on top when you pause the video.

Let’s say I want to pause and see something at the bottom of the screen. No luck. Let’s say I give up, and try to continue playing the video – the controls now stay on screen. Even in full screen mode, there those controls sit, floating over the video. Get out of the way, Quicktime, and let me see the video!

If you click play and get the mouse out of there quickly, the controls seem to go away, until you go back to pause the video. Then the controls linger, no matter what I do. (See screen grab)

Does anyone know of a way to change this – make the controls go away, or at least banish them to underneath the screen, where they belong (Apple, we all love you, but not like that ;-o ).
