  Quicktime with Avid dnx codec is white

  When I try to import an Avid DNX codec Quicktime into AE the file shows up white or black. If I open in AE CS3 it’s white. If I open it in AE 6.5 it’s black. Here’s the thing, I can open these files in Quicktime just fine. I’m on a Mac OS 10.5.5 with QT 7.5.

  I’ve reloaded the Avid codecs. I’ve upgraded my Avid software and it still does this. I’ve also tried putting the codecs into the system Library folder in addition to the user Library.

  Anyone else ever have this happen??? Any ideas on how to fix it? I’d rather not have to export all my files using a different slower codec.
