Hi, this is a very basic question, as I have never used Vegas, and don’t even have Vegas.

A creative director at my company created some animations using Vegas on his home computer. Is it possible to output high enough res QT’s for broadcast using Vegas? Or can you output to DV for broadcast? Or is this something that needs to be recreated by an online editor?

    Thanks in advance.

“Broadcast” is a slippery term. Best to find out what the particular broadcaster’s requirements are.

In any case, Vegas will have no problem with the resolution reqirements.

Yeah, I understand Broadcast can mean a lot of things. I was just wondering if Vegas could output a 720×486 hires quicktime. Sorry for my complete ignorance of the system.

Vegas shouldn’t have any problem outputting to a hi res Quicktime file, even uncompressed. If size isn’t an issue you’ll have 0 problems.
