Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Quicktime to .MXF ??

    if the gv systems have quicktime installed on them, then i’d bet that they can import an mov and they’ll do the conversion to an mxf container. you’ll just want to make sure you create an mov with a standard qt component (codec), like lossless animation or photo-jpeg, rather than prores or something that would come with an apple pro app.

    it’s the way i work with avids, which also works with the mxf file structure.

    well our engineers are technically challenged..lol, but seriously. I’m actually a designer doing some research on this topic because they tell me they can’t convert them with the edit system because they are on like version 1. It runs on a PC. Right now we use Flip Factory for the conversion, but I find it hard to believe they can’t import those quicktimes straight into the edit system and let it do the conversion. I’m not that all impressed with flip factory so I’m trying to cut out the middle man if you know what i mean.
