In FCP 6.0.6 on a PowerPC G5; I’m creating subtitles in Final Cut for an After Effects animation, exporting using Animation compression w/alpha, and the final composite is to be done in AE. So I set my FCP sequence to 1920×1080, 29.97fps (to match the animation), generate my subtitles (1 video track using Title 3D) and start the export. And according to Quicktime’s Movie Inspector, the frame rate of my render is 3.39fps. And I can’t squeeze a render out at the correct frame rate. Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Reimport the file in to FCP and check out the frame rate.

QT does take some liberties, you are right.
