Quicktime Reference?

Perhaps in these days of terabyte drives it’s unnecessary, but if it’s gone, I’ll miss it.

just in tech notes its saying dont open preview for complex sequences not rendered as it will crash

Sorry but it’s not. QTRef files were usable in other programs on the same computer whether it was other encoders like Telestream Episode or Sorenson Squeeze or even other Apple Apps like Motion which now as no Round Trip support. Ref files could be played in QT as well without having to open FCP. While people complain about major missing features, for me it’s the scores of little things missing that are dragging down FCPX.

I was saying its similar
FCPx has some good features, export is lacking at the moment
not quite sure what is dragging the software down, no need to let this be what u use
