Hi, Not sure if this right forum for this, but don’t know of any better.

I’m trying to find out when you export a raw Quicktime (none selected in dialog box) from FCP what color space it is in.

Asking because I have a project in HD, 4:4:4, RGB, 23.97, and AJA codec and when exported is 1.5TB (as it should be),but using None/raw yielded a file size of 1 TB.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mattew,
    NONE is 8b RGB.
just to point that you can not render 10b RGB material in FC.

    Thank you!
You mean even using the AJA codec wouldn’t be 10bit RGB to render out? The file size seemed to be conform it was a 10 RGB.

    Hi Mattew,
Yeah. The AJA 10b RGB is of course “10b RGB”.
But FC can not render in 10b RGB.
You can capture and cut in FC. Then export without rendering keeping the same bit depth.
If you render the 10b will be crunched to 8b.
