December 31, 2007 at 4:06 pmQuicktime Pro isn’t a codec, it’s a tool. You can already render to several codecs for a quicktime container in Vegas.
Specifically, what would you like to render to?Douglas Spotted Eagle

December 31, 2007 at 4:22 pmI’d like to play with the H.264 codec and the various settings that it looks like QT Pro offers.
In trying to get the best results for web-video. I know Flash would be best (at Blip.TV they will leave your flash encode intact) but don’t want to pay the $ for it yet.
Of course, if Vegas offers H.264 or something as good, with plenty of settings to tweak, that would be great.

January 3, 2008 at 3:24 amif you want to output the Apple H.254 codec found in QTPro in a QTcontainer, you’ll need to do it in QTPro. You can output to QT and MPEG4 in Vegas without QT Pro.
