Quicktime pro & FCP 4.5

The other day I noticed something strange, it’s not a problem but it’s something I just don’t understand. I have been running FCP 4.5 on my new G5 2Mhz for a few weeks without problems. A few days ago I opened a quicktime movie, and I got the “upgrade to Quicktime Pro” window before quicktime opened.
I always though that QT pro comes with FCP? If I try to register QT pro, it asks me for a registration number (which I have from the installation disc) and a password – which I don’t have. Entering the standard user name and password for the G5 don’t do the trick.
As I wrote, it’s not a problem since FCP is running smoothly. I just don’t understand what is going on here.

The registration serial number for QT is different than the one for FCP or your user account. The Serial for QT should have come in your FCP box on a single sheet of paper. The user name will be Quicktime Pro, and the number is whatever is included.

different serial number I knew, but “user name = Quicktime Pro” is new to me. Will give it a try, thanks!
