I was wondering if anyone knew a way to save presents for exporting using quicktime conversion in final cut. I know it will save your last setting, but is there a way to save new ones for both quicktime conversion and just quicktime exports.

If you make your own custom presets in compressor, you can export straight out of your FCP timelines or apply them to existing QT files.

    I have this problem too!

You can select a defined preset in compressor but this requires a number of mouse clicks. Mouse clicks slow the editor down.

Why does the ‘Export Quicktime’ function not remember previous export characteristics?

This is so annoying when you have 67 still frames to export from the timeline. I intend to sue Apple for RSI! but then I do get paid by the hour.

    No solution?
