  • Quicktime output lying about time of output from FCP7…?

Posted by Peter Bradley on July 9, 2015 at 5:07 pm

Working on a project cut on FCPX, converted to (and actively cutting in) FCP7, on a 3.4GHz i7 iMac running OS10.9.9.5.

The FCP7 timeline is 1:30. The output as viewed in Quicktime is 1:17.

Anyone ever come across this (or anything like it)? Any ideas what might be causing it?

Both FCP and QT are saying 23.98.

It’s beyond frustrating, I tells ya.

The footage claims to be 23.98 as well.

I dropped the footage into a fresh timeline (and FCP conformed it to the footage settings) to be sure everything was the same, which I’ve done a thousand times before without issue.
