I did some looking around the site and found that others had asked this question but I didn’t see a definite answer.

Does FCP Studio2 have the QuickTime MPEG-2 Playback Component? I am trying to use MPEGStreamClip to convert a dvd and I get an error about having to purchase this from Apple.

Is it a matter of reinstalling or do I really need to purchase this?

    Hi Mike,
if you have installed DVDSTP you should have the component installed.
I don’t think it gets installed with Compressor.
