I work with a FCP fanatic. Sometimes he asks me to do some editing work for him. What we usually end up doing is I do the section that he wants me to and I render it to tape (miniDV). He’ll then take it and capture it into his system.

I thought about doing that, I just though VEGAS would have been able to rendering out a Final Cut compliant file.

Options are:
Sequential TGA (good for short sequences)
Sequential PNG (“)
Export as XDCAM/MXF. From FCP, you’ll need the free Sony plugin for FCP.
