Hi. I run FCP 5 and have exported MP4 files using Quicktime conversion within FCP 5, Quicktime files using Quicktime conversion within FCP5 and using Compressor. I then took these files and put them on a CD.

When I play on my Macs, it’s fine. A PC using Quicktime 7.0 beautiful. However, when they play on a PC with Quicktime 7.2 nothing but green static and some audio. Really, really bad. Also, Windows Media Player treats them as songs, not MPEG4 or .MOV files.

Am I missing something? I’ve never had this issue before. Thanks.

if you want the broadest compatibility you will have
to use sorensen 3 as the codec with IMA 4:1 or Qdesign for audio.

    Hey Chris,

Where do I find the Sorensen 3 codec? I don’t see it in my choices. There are several options, but Sorensen is not one of them. Thanks,.

I’m still in FCP 5. 6 is in the box to be installed after finishing a project.
