Quicktime HDV in PPro 2
I have a file that someone has exported from FCP as an HDV quicktime file. When trying to import into Premiere, I get audio and a white screen for video. The file won’t play in QT player on my PC either. Would upgrading to QT Pro help my problem?

No. QT Pro doesn’t change how QT reads files, it only changes what options you have available inside the QT Player. (Ability to export/convert files, Save files from the player embedded in web page, etc.)
Have you checked Apple’s site for info on the problem? It’s possible the HDV codec they’re using doesn’t play well on Windows yet, or there could be a video card interaction issue.
