I have a bunch of HD footage shot on a Panasonic HVX200. The footage is in Quicktime format, 720p 24 and it was shot in native mode.

How do I get HD footage of this flavor (or any flavor) shot on the Panasonic HVX200 to import into Vegas? Sometimes I receive P2 footage from my clients. Sometimes Quicktime HD. When I try to import the Quicktimes into Vegas, I get the 4 audio tracks, but no video. What can I do so I can edit in Vegas at full HD? Does Vegas even HAVE a 720p HD setting? I only find 1080i and such.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Look into DVFilm’s Raylight ($200).
Apparently it allows you to drop MXF files right onto the timeline or import them directly into the bin.
There are tutorials, a trial download and much more on their site.
