I have a QT film that was delivered from a agency that I cant read. Although I asked him specifically for an animation QT, he sent something rendered out from final cut in a codec my machine cant read. (Im on an Avid MC Adrenaline). I was on the phone with him just now, and he was bitching that its an umcompressed format, and the problem was at my end blah blah blah. This is the exact reason I asked for Animation.
Anyway, who can tell me the way to find out exactly what this codec is, and if its possible to download it. When I open it in quicktime, it directs me to the QT website, but theres a whole long list of differant codecs to download.
Please help me someone, this needs to be finished today.
    Thanks in advance
    Simon.

    Oh God…
I drove to the other side of town to meet the guy, and to burn me a new file in animation. He gave me the files as Animation and native DV, but simply compressed the other film (you had it right, it was that apple uncompressed codec) and now it looks like shit. Heavy line artifacting through the movement no matter how I interpret the footage. I want to cry.
A tip to any potential production customers reading…
Try to keep your work with one producer or company. Dont split it around 3 different firms. Its lucky im such a mello type…
    Thanks anyway, Dave.
