Quicktime & FCP
I export videos to an .mov file, and as time goes on, delete old footage to make more room (budget doesn’t allow for large storage drives), but in doing so my Quicktime files that contain scenes from the deleted FCP document will no longer play.
This must mean that QT references FCP files correct?
Wouldn’t rendering the entire video mean that each file is its own and not rely on FCP (especially since having a 7GB QT file is the norm after rendering)?
Is there a rendering or conversion that I can do so that I am able to store old files (aside from making a dvd of it)?
Why do I have a feeling that the answer is going to be simple….?
Anyways, any insight on this would be awesome and greatly appreciated!Alex
