hi there, really hope someone can help me here as i am pulling my hair out!
I have finished off my showreel and want to burn it to dvd. Yes i have dvd studio pro but on this occassion i want to use one of the fab templates in idvd. Idvd will only except quicktime files.
Every time i try and compress my 16:9 movie using either compressor or quicktime, for some reason it always gives me a 4:3 image. Nightmare!
Im sure im ticking all the appropriate boxes but every time, the same reult!
The only way i have figured to get the correct aspect ratio is to compress it to mv2 with seperate audio files (which idvd can not handle)
    Hope someone can help!
    Cheers

Depending on which version of iDVD you have, you can use that template in DVDSP.

I do not have iLife 6 so I can not guarantee this will work. Try this. You can save the iDVD 6 project file (the theme you want to use) anywhere you want on your harddrive and import that into DVDSP as a new project.

No , this doesnt work, it cant handle anything older than idvd 5 or later. Bummer!
Do you or anyone else happen to have the same problems with the quicktime compressor. All i want is 16:9 movies at its best quality. Maybe im using the wrong settings somewhere, which i dont know about, i have had the same problem in other projects aswell. This restricts me to using only dvdsp.
