I just installed Final Cut Pro 4 on my Macbook OSX 10.4.11, and it shuts down, while starting up, when trying to load Quicktime effects. I can see the application ALWAYS shuts down when trying to load this step. I reinstalled my operating system and Final Cut worked until I began updating my software. Again I could not update my Quicktime or else Final Cut would shut down. This does not work though cause I need Quicktime to use my I-tunes. Is there someway I can get around this? Does Final Cut 4 just need an older version of quicktime? Please help!!!

FCP 4 is much older than your OS, which is only about 3 years out of date. A lot has changed with quicktime during the past six years so either update your FCP or forget updating itunes and quicktime.

FCP 4 is not compatible with Intel Macs.
