quicktime conversion issue
Hello, I hope you can help me, I have been working on a project, a 4 minutes video, I am using a lot of media, because it is a demo of my work, so I imported some capture folders from other projects, and also imported mpg2 videos. I edited fine, but when I convert the video with quicktime conversion, for internet, the final video has a couple of images that where not part of the video. Is like the conversion confuses the timecode, because appears a different part of the clip I selected.
I chose the images again, even change them, but the problem persists.
Do you know what can I do to fix that?

RominaI had touble with capture now in fcp 4.5, then I took the quicktime receipts to the trash and updated quicktime in my G5 Mac Os 3.9 to quicktime 7.5. I solved my capture now problems, and now I finally can do it. But FC do not open my existing projects. It begins to open the project, and in the 18 % the program shuts down inexpectedly saying Kern Protection Failure.
New projects are fine, I can begin a new project, the problem now is with the existing ones.
Please if you can help me, I had some work to do.

Are the MPEG2 videos that you’ve edited the ones missing from your export?
You will need to determine exactly which clips are missing, only that way can determine where the problem is how to fix it.

One of the media that is missing is from the MPEG2, but the other clip, it’s a normal, from a capture scratch from another project. Should I get rid of this two clips?
Maybe it has to be with the conversion because when I see the time line it is correct, but when I get the conversion it has different scenes of the clips.

MPEG2 typically requires conversion to an editing format, otherwise it can be very problematic in a timeline. Usually there is no audio playback from MPEG2 files, so that keeps people from using them.
The other two things you may want to do would be to 1) trash your preferences, and 2) Fix Permissions on all drives with the Apple Disk Utility.
