  quicktime conversion from HDV

  I just bought a Sony v1U and shot some stuff HDV 24p and brought it into FCP into the 30fps timeling. now i want to export it so i can put it on a website and most of the export results i’m getting are squeezing the image. i even did a 16:9 and it squeezed it up and letterboxed the image inside the squeeze. What did work was the ipod conversion but that leaves something to be desired since there are loads of artifacts. Must be a better way.
