I don’t think you’ll find anything currently out there that specifically caters for ProRes quicktime movies. Certainly most automated QC systems are designed around review of content that would be in a format likely to be found on a broadcast playout server or otherwise within a broadcast server system. At present I don’t think ProRes has made it to that list. I dare say Bob Zelin might have the skinny on this tho …

Might want to approach Tektronix sales and support and find out whether their Cerfiy software solution will handle ProRes, or if if they have plans to handle it.

Agreed, most of this would be centered on broadcast formats like MPG2 or MXF. But for the company I’m at ProRes is becoming the mezzanine format from which all broadcast formats are generated. So our library of ProRes files is increasing rapidly. I hope the products out there start recognizing this. I’m contacting Tektronix on the cerify product.

I’m thinking half of the problems we might encounter though would be from tape/signal before it even gets into FCP/Kona. I don’t necessarily need a signal legalizer, but can anyone recommend a product out there that monitors video signal and flags video hits, audio pops/clips, etc?
