    Hi All,

When i import an uncompressed (no codec) quicktime .mov file into a decklink project in Ppro i can’t playback the clip, i get a huege distortion and the image goes black and white.

    Anyone got the same problem?
    How can i solve this?

    Thanks!!!
    Dimi.

Go to video filters “adjust” and apply a ‘brightness & Contrast’ filter set to zero and see if that fixes it.

Yes I have the same problem, I solved it with prerending the clip with After Effects

    Hi,

that is just the problem, it is a render out of after effects, settungs: quicktime compression = none, upper field first

You may have to transcode the file to a Blackmagic format in order for it to work. Could be done in After Effects, Quicktime Pro, or other. Or else, render the file from After Effects in a BM codec.

    Hi,

I know that it would work then but i suppose it should work with uncompressed also??? In a few day’s i get a lot of uncompressed files from i client, i would be lost if i have to transcode them all, that would be a da&y extra work just transcodeing it.

Is this a known limitation or could this be a huge bug?
Is it possible that someone tests this to check wheather it’s my system only or that everyone has this problem?

    Thanks!!!!
    Dimi.

Blackmagic Quicktimes are uncompressed too. Your client can download free codecs from Blackmagic website. They work without BM card.

For uncompressed work I normally use tga-sequence, it is uncompressed and it plays realtime in Premiere Pro in Blackmagic projects. If you have to make little corrections to your After Effect composition you only have to rerender part of composition not all.
