quicktime alternative 1.90 and mpeg streamclip
I have ofen used quicktime alternative 1.81 and mpeg streamclip to convert DVD video clips to .avi’s or .mov’s for editing.
MPEG Streamclip does the conversion job, but requires QuickTime Pro with the MPEG-2 plugin which costs around $30 or QuickTime Alternative which is free.
QuickTime Alternative’s last version 1.81 had a free MPEG-2 plugin as an optional install. The latest QuickTime Alternative v1.90 does not, so my MPEG Steamclip can’t read the DVD files without it.
Any one know about this? Are there any plans for QuickTime Alternative to have the MPEG-2 plugin again? Are there alternative plugins to install?
Thanks.
