What sort of problems? I haven’t done extensive testing, but under 7.4.1 I can open WMVs encoded to Windows Media 9 and play them flawlessly.

February 7, 2008 at 7:57 pmI couldn’t export wmv files…it may have also been the version of flip4mac i had. I was on the flip4mac forum and people were reporting issues…

February 13, 2008 at 10:15 pmI had the same rendering problem with QT 7.4 as described above. I installed QT 7.4.1 and now the problem seems to be fixed!!! I’ve rendered a couple of projects so far and haven’t had any more trouble.
All hail the Cow!!!

April 30, 2008 at 1:39 pmI don’t generally resurrect old threads, but where in the heck is this “show legacy codecs” I’ve seen mentioned here & elsewhere, for us PC users? It’s no where in QT’s preference/advance menu.
I have a client that is requesting a preview file with the Sorenson 3 codec and haven’t used it in so long… & just realized it’s gone poof along with all the others mentioned earlier in this thread. If there’s a remedy, I’d like to know about it. I’d also like to know the genius at Apple who decided this & why :-\
