I am editing in Final Cut Pro with a Kona LH card, and after upgrading to Quicktime 7.1.6, I can not play video out. I can see it on my computer monitor, but can not send it out my Kona card. However, I can hear audio through my Kona card.

I can not get the Quicktime upgrade 7.1.6 off my machine by throwing away files. I have found an article at Macfixit.com, on how to reinstall the OS, but it seems a little drastic.

Is this the only way to get back to Quicktime 7.1.5 or is there another way to do this? Any help getting my system back and running would be appreciated.

I should have added that when I open the capture window, I see video, but not when I am playing a timeline.

Have you upgraded to the latest Kona drivers? The very latest are for FCS2, so check with Kona for the latest drivers for your version of FCP. BTW, AJA has the best tech support in the business. Give them a jingle.

Gary Adcock had the solution. Thanks Gary.

    couple of things
when installing a new version of QT most of you prefs reset, and you may need a newer version of the kona driver.

my guess is that the View > External Video > Off

when it should be set to View > all frames.
