Quicktime 10 & Preview can’t read .mov
I have digitized HDCAM tapes as Pro Res 422 through FCP 7 and a Kona card as I have many times in the past, but this time Quicktime Player 10 and Preview (Space Bar/Quick View) can’t read the video, just the audio. Bringing up the Info of the file, digitized files from months back will display the dimensions, video codec, and CC line. The newly digitized files won’t display any of this, just the audio. The only change I have made from previous HDCAM digitizing and this time is the OSX update from Snow Leopard to Lion. Is there a Lion glitch I’m unaware of? Is there a plugin or something I need to install?

QT X sucks. Incomplete and utter garbage. Use QT 7.
