November 9, 2012 at 9:28 pmSo this works (apply default transition to entire sequence), but I don’t know how to set the default transition length. No clicking, right-clicking etc in the effects -> transitions window gives me parameters to change. In FCP you could drag effects into the project bin… not sure how to do the same in Premiere.
Default transition is 1 second; I want 3 frames for audio dissolves.

April 19, 2013 at 1:22 pmNot sure if this has been answered yet but I replicate FCP’s cmd+t hot key by:
(using the fcp7 keyboard layout)
Hold R
Drag your curser over all clips that you want to apply the transition, holding R will select just the edge.
Apply default transition with cmd+thope this helps as it stumped me for a bit!

Thank You very much.
I use Premier CS5 -

July 17, 2016 at 7:34 pmApplying default transitions works well, as listed above.
Myself, I often like to add little 2 frame crossfades at the start and end of audio heads/tails. So…. If you’d like to change the DURATION of the audio transition, you just need to go into the preference panel. Under “General” you can tell premiere how many frames you’d like the audio transitions to be.
In FCP7 you can make individual duration lengths and easily apply them. In premiere, you have to set all audio durations globally and live with that limitation.
So, you know, it works, just different.
