  Quicker way of deploying SD version of HD project?

  Once my project’s finished – chaptered (in Encore) and the menus, music et al are put together, Encore gives you the option to merely transcode to DVD (with some presets) and downscales the menus.

  Is it possible for me to bypass this transcoding process by replacing the HD files with standard ones that i’ve already rendered (it’s much quicker for us to render these, than use the transcoder) at some point, but without having to rebuild the menu structure?

  I don’t edit in Premiere, so wouldn’t use the chaptering feature in there (use Edius) but i’m just trying to find a beneficial way to improve our production time.
