QuickCluster sometimes avail & sometimes not
I have to do a lot of different compression types these days when delivering spots to broadcast and cable. I have quite a few preset Droplets set up for each format and it generally works well.
I also have a QuickCluster setup for compression using the Droplets or Compressor. I normally select the cluster when compressing through the Droplets. The problem arises in that sometimes the QuickCluster is available in the drop down menu and sometimes it isn’t. At times the only choice available is “This Computer” and not the QuickCluster. Sometimes it’s available and sometimes it isn’t. Any ideas on why it isn’t available all of the time? Weird…

Not sure what causes it, but if you go into the Qmaster Pref Pane and toggle sharing on and off, it comes back.

I have 2 systems.
on one the cluster ALWAYs works, no exceptions.
The other machine is hit or miss, but usually
not and I have to restart the services on it….annoying.Everything is identical on both.
