Quick tips on pastel colors
Posted by Juan Morales on October 15, 2011 at 10:24 pmHi everyone. Can anyone of you give some quick tips in how to grade images with a “pastel color look”? I’m a bit stuck…
Thanks!

Lifted blacks, set to blue, a lot
tamed highs, set to orange, even more
Two or three really soft masks from the top with gamma and lift to fake a flair.
Super soft gamma lighting up on her face, trackedThats basically it 🙂
Be bold on the two first ones, they will level each other out.A slice of color…

April 19, 2012 at 12:41 pmHi Sascha,
I found this interesting used on Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in very light way, but when I tried to lift blacks it loosed contrast…
do you mean to mask the highlights witht luma key and raise the gamma with lift up a little?
Thanks!
