  • quick time uncompressed 10 bit at 25.01 fps, why?

Hi. I have exported a Quicktime uncompressed 10 bit HD at 25fps. For lay back to tape, however when you play the exported quicktime it plays at 25.01 fps, which i have been told has caused sync problems with the lay back to tape and audio dub. The only thing i can think of is that its a keyframe issue in quicktime, something that can be corrected when exporting as animation or H264 codecs. However these aren’t really viable codecs due to the file size and time it takes to export. Any suggestions?

Use Cinema Tools to conform it to 25fps. This should fix the bad frame rate data that Quicktime is reporting.

Of course forgot about Cinema tools. Its a bit odd though this 25.01fps, I don’t know why Quicktime does this sometimes
    Thanks for the help.
