  Quick time can not open file (-2048)

  Hi I am editing on Fcp version five running on Mac OsX Version 10.4.2. After digitizing I can not open some of my clips on the Qick time player. The message below appears

  Quick time can not open file: CE-521Artaronivpart3-A-av”
  Its not a file that Quicktime understands (-2048)

  Some of the other clips play fine on Quick time and the only difference betweeen the above clip and the clips that play fine is the problem clip has an -av” attachment in the end the name (as seen above)

  I have been told by someone that this is a corrupt file and if it is what causes it and how can I avoid it.
