  Quick Question. How Do You edit effects to a proxy?

  so I created a proxy of an animation file and the size bumped out very nicely. Now im trying to do effects and whatnot to the proxy file, but I cant see it update on the proxy, but when I turn the proxy off, the effects show up. Is there a way to edit a proxy or will I have to turn the proxy on and off while I edit?
