Quick Question about ‘Match Source’
I had some DV PAL type2 widescreen tape to edit.
The files are stored as:
container: avi(dvcpro) Bitrate:30Mbps
Video: 720x576pixels, 16:9, YUV,4:2:0,8bits, Interlaced,Bottom Field First. (1min is approx. 200MB)After edit I used AME, and chose “Match Source”
but this gave me an mxf file AND an mxf.xmp file ?!?!?!
(1min=300MB + terrible sound)
Why? whats this about?I can manually find a preset and adjust it to match the original film, and export… The final output matches source (AVI, more compressed obviously).
2nd Question if I may: I’ve been playing with AME to compress an avi into various formats, just to see quality and size, and I’ve yet to find anything as good as Handbrake’s mkv. Anyone used that program?
