  • quick question about linking files

    Hi guys,

very simple thing I’m trying to do, but wanted some advice on the best way (and efficient) to this-

doing a high school renion video and want to build an individual comp for each alumni that brings their class pic and then a recent pic. Each class pic has been scanned into Photoshop (same spec) as well as recent pics.

My question is since each element is same proportion, and each animation (transform attributes scale, rotate, position; etc) will be the same, what is the best way to swap out the images for each comp?

I know I could do nested comps, or just copy & paste keyframes, but is there an even quicker way (footage swap versus replace) one could suggest? I have to do about 200+ comps. Thx

    Rick

Alt drag and drop the new file from the project window over the layer you want to replace.
Or just replace the file (right click) in the project window itself.
