I was watching a rerun of The Simpsons last night, in which the Radioactive Man movie was being shot in Springfield. The kids are wandering around the set, when they see a man painting a cowhide pattern on a horse.
Kid: Why are you painting that horse?
Crew Member: Cows don’t look like cows on film. You gotta use horses.
Kid: What happens when you need a horse?
Crew Member: Eh…We usually just tape a bunch of cats together.
Now I know why my cow scenes never quite look right.

This just reinforces the need to remember to bring the gaffer’s tape everytime you shoot. By the way, the tape is not just good for building the horses out of cats. The cats performance also depends on where you place the tape. (For instance, if you put some tape on the bottom of their paws, they emulate miniature Tennessee Walking Horses.)
