  • Quick Keyboard-Click Zooming on the Program Monitor Window?

Posted by Keith Moreau on February 10, 2011 at 5:07 pm

I’m trying to see if there is an equivalent to the zoom in and out for FCP’s canvas, which is akin to PPro’s Program Monitor. In the FCP canvas, I was able to use timeline zooming shortcuts to quickly zoom in and out. I was hoping that I could do this with PPro but I can’t seem to do this other than the “Select Zoom Level” dropdown menu in the Program monitor window and using the scroll bars to locate the area I want to focus on, which is a bit clunky.

Ideally I’d like to be able to zoom in and out and move the canvas around, similar to what can be done in Adobe Photoshop with the command-space-click or option-command-space-click on the center of the zoom.

    Thanks much for any advice.

That is a fine feature request. You can submit feature requests here.

    Thanks Todd.

So I gather from your response that there is no ‘keyboard shortcut’ way to set the zoom level in the Program monitor?

If there is one, I don’t know it and can’t find it.

Am I right in thinking that this is still not a feature of PP in CS6? I agree with Keith that this would be very useful and I’m quite surprised it doesn’t exist already.

Does anybody else think this is a good idea? Or are there other work arounds for resizing frames in PP in the Program window which make it unnecessary?

    Thanks

Someone Please Fix & let me know so I can Quit selecting the “zoom to [Not] fit” option or wrong guessing a percentage of the screen I’d like to see??
