They would probably both be the same, the trick is not a motion track, but rather velocity at which it travels. So, how may chunks do you have, how big (pixels) is each chunk and how long do oyu want the move to last?

Once you figure that out, you take each chunk, make it move a certain amount of time, and then add on each chunk so that each chunk gets the exact same amount fo time and starts and ends at the same place in the active area of the screen. This will ensure that each chunk is moving at the same velocity.

Just as long as the group isn’t over about 4k wide. AE has a little more leeway in this regard.
