  • Quick Filter (eq) scripting problem

I was trying to make a script for converting wav. files to mp3 files. Simple 2 step process, 1= eq and 2= normalize to-2.5
The first processes ran a quick filter to eq down the top and bottom frequences to reduce added noise when down converting.
What I found when I would run the script was that it wolud not remember my eq settings for the quick filter but instead use the setting that it defualts to when you bring up the quick filter. Those defualt settings drop the overall out put to next to nothing, so when the second process in the script to normalize kicks in, it brings the amplitued of the file from something like -45ish to -2.5 which adds tons of unwanted noise to the file (defeating the purpose of running the quick filter).

I was wondering if anyone elese has run into a simular problem with scripting the quick filter or any other process for that matter.

In the end I used another filter and it worked fine.

    Thanks
