    The topic of custom transitions comes up frequently here at the cow. I put together a quick tutorial to demonstrate how I tackle quick and easy custom transitions using stocker filters in the Avid.
    First, I gotta say, I use Sapphire plugins as filler more often than not. I use the BCC glow in this demonstration to make it familiar to more users.

    Alright, I know my settings are wack. Record monitor on the right, source on the left, two rows of everything and enough bins open to cover the whole right monitor. I show you this wide shot just so you know where I have everything laid out.

    To keep things simple, I have some shots lines up on V1 and am stacking some filters on V2 but keep in mind you may be on a higher track when you apply this method.
    I have applied 6 frame dissolves centered at a few cutpoints of some shots put together.
    Then, on the track above the dissolve, I added edits using the add edit tool. I placed one a few frames before the dissolve
