Clinet sent me a lot of QTs that use the Uncompressed 10 bit codec, and Big Endian audio codec. They all work great except for one. One, when I click for info shows it has a ‘video’ codec, and Big endian audio. When I launch in QT player, I get black screen but audio is fine.

Tried to identify what this codec is or where to find. Any help on which codec this likely is or where to access (cheaply??)

    thanks!

When the file is open in QT player, what does it report the codec as? You might have to ask the client if QT can’t identify it. Otherwise we are all guessing.

    Hi Rick,
“Video” codec is one of the traditional QT supported codecs. Now is considered a “Legacy Codec” therefor don’t appear in the codecs list.
To let QT shows all the codecs, you need to go to “QT Preferences”> Advanced> Show Legacy encoders.
Anyway, even if the codec do not appear in the list, I think that QT should be playing the clip fine.
    Have a try.
