Questions about exporting LONG projects – DVD quality
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate someone’s comprehensive advice to my query, as i have been looking through the topics, but wasnt able to either find or understand the answer.I finished a project 2hours in duration. I’m trying to export it to DVD with the best possible settings. The default selection was PAL High qual, VBR 4mps if i remember correctly, and the size predited was over 5GB, but with maximize bitrate window ticked it was just small enough to fit a DVD. After hours of transcoding :-), the quality was quite poor when viewed on plasma. Picture was grainy and jittery.
My question 1. is – How do i export a 2 hour movie in close to professional quality? is there another way, like exporting it to an avi format (probably getting something like 50GB file) and them shrinking it somehow? Or what settings should i use? What’s interlacing and does it have an effect?
Ok, i know this is more then one question.
my 2nd area of questions concerns DVD menu. I have markers in the desired spots, but is there a way i can create a menu, post export, if i dont have Encore?
Thank you very much for your answers. If you need additional detail in order to answer, i’d be happy to provide them, i just didnt want to flood you in too long a question.
I’m using premiere pro 1.5
Thanks,
Marty
