  • Question to new effects workflow in Sony Vegas Pro 11

    From the Vegas website:
“Apply video effects at the media level, event level, track level, to the entire project, or all tracks and events at the preview level.”

What is the difference between apllying effects to media level, event level and preview level?

Event level means applying it to a specific event (what Vegas calls a clip), media level means while the event is in the Project Media tab, track level means the entire track and preview level means the entire project.

Thanks. Well explained. And what if I want to apply an effect to more (for example five) events, but not to the entire track? Is it possible in Vegas 11?

As long as nothing else has been applied to any of the events (e.g. Pan/Crop), apply the FX to the first one, copy it, click the next one, hold down the shift button and click the last one (assuming they’re all in a row), right-click and select “Paste Event Attributes”.
If they’re not all in a row, use the Ctrl button to select the remaining events and then do the paste event attributes thing.
