  • Question regarding projects/events in 10 .1

I used to use Event Manager in 10.0.9 because I have a lot of projects (2 feature films, commercials, infomercials, etc). Before I began to use Event Manager FCPX took forever to open.

My question is, now that Apple has set things up differently in 10.1 with regard to Projects/Events, is opening FCPX with everything loaded not an issue anymore in terms of how quickly it boots up?

It might be a little better, but the whole point of libraries is to address what event manager addressed. It takes a lot of resources to open all your edits on any app, so you likely want to group events and projects into libraries. Probably a library for each job.

And libraries do seem to load much faster than separate Events/Projects.
