  Question re: Export and proper codec

  Working in FCP HD and in DV. I want to export a movie from a sequence in order to reimport it and do various things with it including compositing, etc. For various reasons I don’t want to nest sequences.

  What would be the best codec to use for such a purpose in order to avoid extra compression, etc. when doing the compositing?

  Would “none” or “animation” or “uncompressed 10 bit” or “8-bit” be the choice?
