  [Question] Is there any need to online FS700 footage transcoded to DnxHD120?

  Hello guys,

  We shoot with a Sony FS700 as well as a Sony PXW-70X

  With the FS700 we shoot in AVCHD and with the PXW-70X we shoot in XAVCHD (50mbps)
  We transcode all this footage to DnxHD120.

  My question is: Is there any point in onlining/conforming this footage after picture lock? I’ve read that the number in the DnXHD codec (120) describes the bitrate, which in our case doesn’t exceed this number…

  Would there be any difference in the picture quality for us, if we onlined the project instead of just using the transcoded DnxHD120 files for final export and delivery?
