Hi Tim. I put your name in the subject line because I didn’t know if you would be continung to read the thread below where you gave me some advice. You referred me to:

That tutorial shows exactly what I want to do. However, I am having some difficulty carring out the instructions in the tutorial due to: 1. my level of experience with After Effects and 2. some Japanese-to-English translation issues.

Have you successfully followed the steps in that tutorial? If so, may I ask you some questions about it?

I found this tutorial here and there’s more of an explanation. It appears to be the same effect only it was created a long time ago. When I opened the project file it said it must be converted from AE 4.1, which was long before I started using it.
