  • Question for the 3D pros…

My 3D experience is lmited, but I do use Invigorator and have had some success using dxf models inside it. What I want to know is, can a dxf file be converted to an obj, and if so, what do I need to do it with? It would need to be a Mac-based solution.

I also own Kinemac, and it only takes obj files. I want to try the same animation in it and compare the looks, they work so differently.

I have done a Google search on this without much luck.

if you are in this forum because you have C4D as well as Invigorator and Kinemac then C4D will do it. Open the DXF then export to obj.

I have found some problems with importing dxf objects in C4D. If you have autocad, you might export a 3ds object instead and use C4D to convert that to a obj file.
